The best shower of my life

Ok, that was a lie. But the water pressure at our hotel in Jo-burg was incredible after the 17 hour flight. The best shower of my life was after being in the Sahara for a week.

Right now Nam-25, my Peace Corps group, is soaking up free bandwidth at our hotel. Who knows where we will find the next free wireless connection. Orientation in Philadelphia went very well, the weather was amazing. We got pounded with tons of information and were given a huge per diem for pork chops, cheesecake, and key lime pie. Back up, meeting everyone in Nam25 was a reassuring experience. Most of the teachers in the group lack teaching experience and it has been nice to be able to share all of the emotions that go along with this plunge into Africa. Our group of sixty is realitively large for PC

You got cheesecake and key lime pie in Africa? I have been here for two months and seen nothing of the sort. I must be with the wrong program...
